A programmer or software developer writes the instructions (often called ‘code’) that tell a computer to perform a certain task. Because every task on a computer requires a program, there are a great deal of varied career positions available. What is important is choosing a language to program with. Different languages are used for different applications. The main qualification for Visual Basic.NET® is Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD).
Typical roles can be Applications Developer or Systems Developer.
