Modern business information systems have created a demand for highly skilled technical professionals to administer, manage and troubleshoot these systems and Microsoft® has answered this demand with the Microsoft® Certified Systems Administrator - MCSA certification programme. The MCSA albeit a valuable certification in its own right is also the first step on the way to becoming a Microsoft® Certified Systems Engineer - MCSE.
Candidates are required to pass three core exams and one elective exam that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise in administering and supporting existing Windows® based systems, including Windows Server®. Those who achieve the MCSA qualification have joined an exclusive club of technical professionals who are able to manage, maintain and troubleshoot business information system solutions and network infrastructures based on Microsoft® Windows® and Windows Server®.
The complete course of training is a maximum of eighteen months of study according to previous experience, pace, pattern and available time. No previous knowledge is required but practical experience of using information technology and basic/home networking would be advantageous.
