CompTIA A+

Flexible Hardware Qualification

CompTIA® A+ is a course that provides learners with the practical skills, knowledge and qualifications required to be considered competent in the building and configuration of PC systems, the installation of major proprietary operating systems and in troubleshooting and repair when failure occurs.

The certification is an international industry credential that validates your skills as a computer service technician demonstrating your technical competence and practical experience. Major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers accept CompTIA® A+ as the standard in foundation level, vendor neutral certification for service technicians.

The course assumes no previous knowledge and is aimed at individuals wishing to gain an entry-level qualification with a view to entering an IT career. The course is also suitable for individuals with basic experience and the pre-requisite skills, wishing to gain a formal PC technician qualification.

In addition, the CompTIA® A+ can become the first stage of your IT qualification route, giving you a head start with other qualifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) accreditation.

Those undertaking the CompTIA® A+ training can consider any of the career pathways listed below, for example:

  • PC Technician
  • PC Support Specialist
  • Service Technician
