User Acceptance Testing
(UAT)

User Acceptance Testing is probably the most widely known form of testing. This should be carried out either just prior to delivery or during the beta testing phase of the software. This testing phase should be used to ensure the software is achieving what the project set out to do by offering real test cases of data to test the software against and can include software verification.

Seetec will work closely with the project team in performing UAT testing against the software effectively performing black-box testing. The test plans and cases, based on the user requirements specification would already have been designed by this stage either from the project team or by Seetec by our planning and design service.

Testing would be purchased in blocks of testing time to perform the test. Results would be returned in an agreed manner suitable for both parties. This would include recommendations of improved usage if found.

Operational Acceptance Testing
(OAT)

Seetec can also offer consultancy and hands-on experience of OAT. This covers the aspects of testing that can often be overlooked, aspects that support the software’s deployment and day-to-day running.

OAT can include many facets of testing management. Our specialities are in disaster recovery planning, compatibility of your software across operating systems such as Windows, OSX and Linux, browsers such as IE, Firefox, Safari and Opera, your processes of software maintenance and upgrades and most importantly security testing.
